Join Clay Anderson, NASA Astronaut, retired and Space Center Houston Education Manager, Phyllis Friello for Spaceflight Operations Training. The primary measurement of a successful mission is the safe return of the crew. Join us and learn about the training that prepares our astronauts for conducting missions in the hostile and unpredictable environment of space. Learn about the knowledge and tools utilized in astronaut training at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston and participate in an activity in the development of operational procedures. In addition, hear about the Spaceflight Operations Workshop for educators and students. The workshop, held at Iowa State, is designed for educators and students in engineering and education.
