How:
As the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 nears, students will be immersed in the engineering, fascination, and the wonder of the moon. Starting off with studying craters and how they formed, students will choose the best landing site for their lunar lander, based on the terrain of the moon. Once the site is chosen, students will become engineers and design/build lunar landers based on provided criteria. Teachers will get to interact with moon maps and lunar rock samples, too! This is an active session in which you will be provided take-home lesson materials!
