Space, a hostile
environment. Isolated and confined, increased radiation levels and far from
help. These are the conditions faced by our astronauts aboard the International
Space Station and by those soon venturing into deep space. These
challenges are also a part of daily life in Venetie, a remote village north of
the Arctic Circle. With access only by bush plane, this once thriving village
now has 53.2% living in poverty.Join
Terri Mynatt and learn how to utilize the challenges of life in Venetie and
other remote areas as a teaching tool for space science and STEM.
