At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Review latest techniques in corneal transplantation and when certain techniques would be most appropriate
- Review management strategies to treat non-healing corneal wounds
- Define the signs and symptoms of Limbal Stem Cell Deficiency
- Describe the treatment modalities currently in use to treat Limbal Stem Cell Deficiency
- Understand the processes that contribute to the pathophysiology of critical eye disease (glaucoma, retinal disease, cataract)
- Identify the role of antioxidant substances in the eye and how they help protect against disease
