
Dr. Durr completed his medical school and residency in Ophthalmology at the Université de Montréal. He pursued his training in glaucoma and advanced anterior segment surgery (GAASS) for two years at the University of Toronto under Dr. Ike Ahmed. He currently practices at the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM) where he treats a variety of glaucoma pathologies, cataracts and complex anterior segment reconstruction.
His research activities touch upon novelties in glaucoma and cataract surgery. Currently, Dr. Durr has several ongoing projects on minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and novel intraocular lenses. He has published numerous articles and two book chapters. At the University, Dr. Durr teaches medical students, residents and clinical fellows. He is the current glaucoma fellowship program director.
