Jimmy currently teaches AP Physics C and IB Astronomy at Bellaire High School in Houston ISD. He is currently a PhD student studying physics education in the College of Education at the University of Houston. From 1996 to 2014 he taught computing courses including AP Computer Science A and AB, web design, and computer math. He was the first Bellaire High School IT director from 2000 - 2007. He was an adjunct professor teaching web design and web programming for the School of Library and Information Science at the University of North Texas from 2004 to 2016.
