John Soldatos holds a Phd in Electrical & Computer Engineering from NTUA and is currently Prof. & Head of the Internet of Things Group at the Athens Information Technology and Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Glasgow. During 2007-2010 he was also Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon University. His activities span various Industry 4.0 topics and technologies, including IoT, BigData, AI and Digital Twins. He has had a very active (technical or consulting) role in over 50 projects in ICT, healthcare and industry, while he has co-founded the OpenIoT.eu and Edge4Industry.eu platforms. Moreover, he has authored more than 180 articles in international journals, books and conference proceedings. Dr. Soldatos contributes to various international magazines/blogs and is regular speaker in events about IoT/Industry 4.0.
