One of the leading candidates for having an environment where life could exist due to liquid water is Jupiter’s moon, Europa. A thick, icy crust surrounds the moon with a large, salt water ocean underneath. This lesson simulates a future, robot submarine (aka. Cryobot) mission to Europa creating a real life 3D cross-section model of Europa in class.
