Dr. Adam Muzychuk MD FRCSC is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, specializing in Ophthalmology. He earned his BSc from the University of Manitoba in 2007 before pursuing medical school, graduating from the University of Calgary in 2010. Following medical school, he completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Calgary in 2015, obtaining his FRCSC certification.
Dr. Muzychuk pursued further specialization with a fellowship in Cornea & External Disease at Université de Montréal in 2016. Dr. Muzychuk has garnered recognition for his significant contributions to ophthalmology, including awards such as the Best Paper of the Session at the ASCRS Annual Meeting, Best Glaucoma Paper from the Canadian Glaucoma Society, and the Master Teacher Award for Resident Physician Training and Education from the University of Calgary.
He holds roles such as Scientific Meeting Chair for the Eye Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, and Director of the Cornea Skills Transfer Program for the Canadian Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Muzychuk is actively involved in medical education, supervising students and developing educational programs. His research focuses on cataract and refractive surgery, and ocular surface disease, with active involvement in clinical trials and educational initiatives, establishing him as a respected leader in ophthalmology
