
Dr. Cody Lo is an Ophthalmology Resident Physician at the University of Ottawa. He received his MD and BSc in Pharmacology from the University of British Columbia where he graduated as a Wesbrook scholar. He has a keen interest in medical education and has held several national leadership positions in this area. This includes being elected to the Executive Committee of the Council of Canadian Ophthalmology Residents since 2021, Resident Advisor of the Canadian Ophthalmology Student Interest Group, and Resident Representative for the COS Practice Resource Centre Committee.
Dr. Lo has organized several educational ophthalmology programs including serving as Course Co-Director for VISCO, the first national review course of its kind. He was the recipient of the 2022 Rising Star Certificate of Excellence from the Canadian Association of Medical Education.

This is the first medical student symposium at the COS annual meeting. There will be keynote presentations on handling stress in medicine and an introduction to high yield clinical topics in ophthalmology. There will also be hands-on clinical skills sessions and breakout discussions with resident mentors. This symposia is hosted by the Council of Canadian Ophthalmology Residents (CCOR) and the Canadian Ophthalmology Student Interest Group (COSIG).
