Stephanie Dotchin, MD, FRCSC
After completing her medical school at the University of Saskatchewan Dr. Dotchin then went on to complete her Ophthalmology residency at Dalhousie University. Dr. Dotchin completed two fellowships, one at the esteemed Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, UK and the second at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, both with a focus on pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus.
Currently Dr. Dotchin is currently clinical associate professor at the University of Calgary. She is the head of the ROP program for southern Alberta. Dr. Dotchin is on several boards and committees. She has a keen interest in advocacy for the profession. She is current on the board of the Alberta Medical Association. She is the past president of EPSAA (Eye physicians and surgeons association of Alberta) and the past president of CAPOS (Canadian Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus). She sits on several other boards and committees both nationally and internationally. Dr. Dotchin is heavily involved in teaching, including medical student and resident teaching. She is on several editorial boards and contributes to academic literature regularly.
