Mary Ellen Shain
Mary Ellen Shain has been a valued member of the NSWA since 2014, currently serving as a Senior Watershed Planning and Project Coordinator. In her role, she leads strategic projects and provides guidance to junior colleagues. Mary Ellen has been instrumental in shaping the NSWA’s Riparian Health Action Plan, a comprehensive framework designed to enhance riparian health through enhanced data, policy tools, and targeted outreach efforts. Additionally, she is leading the organization's endeavors in natural asset management. Mary Ellen is actively involved in numerous multi-stakeholder collaborative committees and partnerships focused on advancing watershed management objectives. Her expertise is informed by a Master of Science degree in Integrated Water Resource Management from McGill University.
