Travel awards

The 9th International Barcode of Life Conference looks forward to welcoming participants from around the world. To ensure that excellent research from international members of the community is represented, the organizers are offering highly discounted fees for LMIC participants as well as for students and postdoctoral fellows.

In addition, a limited number of travel awards will be offered to support participation from students, postdoctoral fellows (within 2 years of receiving a PhD degree), and early career researchers (within 5 years of receiving a PhD degree). The Scientific Committee will evaluate all applications and make a selection by 31 May 2024, ensuring gender and geographical balance.

Travel awards will cover registration fees and potentially part/total of travel and accommodation costs. The final amount of the award will be decided based on the number and quality of the applications received.

The motivation statement needs to outline how participation in iBOL2024 would benefit the applicant's career and research as well as contributing to institutional or national priorities in biodiversity science.

Deadline: 21 May 2024
