Welcome to the official registration page for the 9th International Barcode of Life Conference (iBOL2024). We are excited to announce that registration is now open.
Join us for in-person attendance from September 3rd to 6th, 2024, at Estação das Docas in Belém, Pará, Brazil. The conference will be preceded by a series of parallel workshops on September 2nd.
To ensure a larger accessibility at iBOL2024, we are pleased to offer a reduced fee for students and participants from low and middle-income countries (details below).

2Reduced fee: a) Students from all countries (with proof of student status); b) Postdoctoral fellows within 2 years of receiving a PhD degree (with copy of PhD diploma); c) Participants with residence in low, lower-middle or upper-middle income country (World Bank Country Classification)
3Corporate fee: staff working for for-profit organizations (startups, enterprises, corporations, consulting firms, banks, other private companies) from all countries
4Accompanying person: family member or friend, accompanying a participant. No access to the plenary room.
Notes:
- All rates are in USD
- Registration fees must be paid in full to gain access to the conference
- Registration closes on 25 August 2024 (11:59 pm EST). Onsite registration will not be possible
The registration fee includes:

Methods of payment:
- Payment is accepted by credit card only (major credit cards in ticket-purchasers country are accepted).
Cancellation and refund:
Participants may withdraw their registration by providing a written notice to 2024@dnabarcodingconference.com before 15 August 2024. Refunds will be subject to a 50 USD administration fee, plus any applicable fees charged by the credit card company. Please note that no refunds will be issued after 15 August 2024. Childcare:
We have arranged for a nursing room, and we are currently looking into arrangements for childcare. Please indicate during your registration if childcare is needed. Depending on the volume of childcare requests received, we will determine if a childcare option is feasible.
We encourage all attendees to register for the conference in advance. This will allow us to plan accordingly for the appropriate number of attendees.
