
Peter Wintlev-Jensen is working
in the European Commission DG Communications Networks, Content and Technology, dealing
with development of policy and research strategy related to Internet of Things
Before that he was
responsible for EU strategy concerning digital transformation of Health and
Care, including the European Joint Research Programme on Active and Assisted
Living, the digital research and innovation agenda on Health and Ageing in Societal
Challenge 1 of Horizon 2020 and the European Innovation Partnership on Active
and Healthy Ageing. He has also helped develop the Silver Economy strategy to
help stimulate jobs and growth arising from Demographic Change.
Before joining the
European Commission in 1990 he worked in the telecommunications industry as
project manager in Denmark and US in a number of large industrial computing and
communications projects, e.g. with American Airlines, Delta Airlines, EDS.
He has an Engineering
degree in Electronic Systems from
